We love Denise O’Neill at Grey is Okay. She’s got a lovely story and great message for any woman who is thinking about ditching the dye.

Terri Holley

Terri Holley is the owner and founder of Revolution Gray. She's a 58-year-old empty nester who, at the age of 41, transitioned from a 20+ year career of working in the federal and private sectors to full-time entrepreneurship. Along with Revolution Gray, Terri owns an online marketing firm called Holley Creative. She has an awesome husband of 33 years, and a sweet, kind adult daughter who is a Physician Assistant student.

    Thanks for sharing! At my next hair appt. in 2 weeks, I hope to start the process of going gray. I tried it once before and didn't like it.

    Thanks for sharing. You look amazing. I want to leave my hair natural but have dyed it for about 40 years. My granddaughter said the other day no one in my family has natural coloured hair except me. It made me start thinking. Everyone says I look younger for my age and I suppose Im trying to hold on to that. But Im going to take the plunge. As I hate that in-between stage you mention I may have highlights in grey. You show me that you can be grey and still look beautiful. Thanks

    Denise a year ago your video helped me make the decision to stop colouring. I’m originally from N.Ireland and so to see you looking so fabulous and have that link with home was the extra incentive I needed. I have not looked back and now love my grey hair and the freedom it gives me to be myself.Thanks a million. Sue

    Thanks for this. In going to be starting this journey myself in a couple of months with some trepidation. I’ll be 59 in June and it bothers me that I don’t know what a full head of my own hair would look like. My plan is to do some very intentional gradated color to start with so the line of demarcation becomes part of the design. I’m going to consult with my colorist who will probably think I’m nuts. That’s my way of dealing with the transition. I hope when mine gets to the 100% natural it will look as pretty as yours, but it’s all a mystery as to how it will come out. Thanks for the encouragement.

    I did let my hair go. But, I went back coloring my hair. I am 57 I do not like gray hair on me. My mom colored her hair up to her passing at age 72 A beautiful red. . She looked wonderful.

    Denise, thank you so much for your honesty and openness. I’m sure it will inspire countless women to embrace their natural hair color and themselves.

    I am 58 and have never colored my hair. Right now my hair is more pepper than salt, and I have no plans to ever color it. The women in my family have a tradition of going gray and not coloring their hair as they age. As a result, I grew up associating graying hair with older women I love. So gray hair to me has happy, loving connotations and positive feelings. Some of the people I’ve loved the most in my life have had gray and/or white hair, and so it is beautiful to me.
